Rod Pampling closed with a 6-under 65 for a two-shot victory in the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in Nevada. Rod holed a 30-foot birdie putt on the final hole at the TPC Summerlin that clinched the victory and secured his PGA Tour status until he turns 50. It was great see all his hard work payoff and shows what is possible if you stick to things that work.
“It’s extremely rewarding,” Pampling said. “Winning Arnold Palmer’s event is still on top. But coming back from what we’ve had the last few years, to get a win under the belt, it’s phenomenal. Amazing.”
This win was also special for everyone who has spent time watching Rod’s swing over the years. We congratulate Rod and Angela Pampling, Alex Murray, Michael Dalgleish and all involved. Awesome!

Congrats Rodney on your win.Was a inspiration to watch your RSS in action, like the 340 yd drive that missed the flag by inches on #15. Wonder when/if Chamblee can recall the last time he drove one that long and accurate (he commented on Rodney not being a long hitter).
